Oh, that's OJ at WUW, he always does that. I think he had a 341 listed for $50k. I hope nobody actually pays those prices.

WUW's OJ and David are really good guys... Maybe a bit optimistic on pricing, but they ARE the first ones with it.

Thanks Greg, I frequent their site and often wonder how legit they are. I've noticed their pricing is optimistic on some of the more rare Pams. But they have competitive pricing on other brands. I wouldn't pay 25k for a 339, but it is a great looking unit.

Yep, I have a buddy that buys from WUW a lot and they are very trustworthy. Their prices on regular production Pams are actually competitive usually, but for the rare ones, he's usually at least 25% above everyone else on his list price. I'm guessing that most people negotiate that price. At least hope so.

it will be interesting to see how this piece's pricing going forward as more of the 1500 are released...similar to a 317?

Does it matter if they are "solid guys"?
The 339 is a limited edition watch with a production of 1,000 units. Somehow these guys are allowed to buy one/several (?) from a boutique only to try to make a quick buck on it. If you don't add anything to the value chain you shouldn't charge a premium. I'd never buy from these guys. |
