timing....a tale of two watches

Hi New to this forum but have been an avid reader over the past few months…..I have had to register as I now need some advice from some experts!

I finally splurged out and bought my first rolex on Friday afternoon in T3 Mappin and Webb.

I purchased a Deep Sea Dweller tax free for 5300 GBP. I think I got a good deal and was very happy with the watch. ….until about 3pm this afternoon.

I have always wanted a stainless Daytona with white face, and had put my name down for the waiting list at my local AD in Aberdeen. However I didn’t hold much hope for getting one any time in the near future.

Today I was out with the family in a city in northern europe doing some xmas shopping, I stopped by the local Rolex AD just to check if they had any DSSD in stock….they did….but they also had a Stainless white face Daytona in the shop window.

I really could believe my eyes.

After talking to the dealer they said I could have it for 59000 Kr about 6300 gbp.

They wouldn’t trade my watch as they had one in stock.

What I want to know is, how rare is it to pick up a brand new ss Daytona at an AD for what seems a reasonable price.
I have the money, but only just and January would be quite tight.

Your thoughts would be welcome.
