I think I like the SS GMT. Just wish they did the 24 hour hand in red.

The other new additions are less than overwhelming. What was Rolex thinking with the new Yachtmaster? I think the 16710 will hold a special place in my heart. dP

I'm very underwhelmed. The GMT is the only one worth paying money for IMHO.

Well, I just got off the phone with my AD. I'm first up on the new GMT!!
The Milgauss is interesting, I'll have to see it "in the flesh". The YM II? Naw! As yet no word though on the Sub or Exp., interesting to see if anything happens with them. |

With the exception of the GMT and Milgauss all I can say is what were they thinking. A zebra dial no way. As for the YM hope it comes with an operator.

My eyes - the yacht-master look horrible in my opinion. Maybe they were trying to produce a simlar looking watch to the Daytona with chrono feature?
The SS GMTII is very nice. I wonder if the ceramic bezel will come in pesi colors down the road (will probably be too hard to produce). Already owning a LV with maxi-dail, I would probably go classic DJ for my next watch. Did I say another Rolex out loud? I hope I don't want another Rolex, my wife would kill me. |

Well, I told Steve I'd believe in a SS supercase GMT when I see it, and there we go. I'm going to have to look into getting one.
As for the YMII, OMFG. When I first saw the photos I thought it was a bad joke. Whenever did Rolex set up a design department in Wong Tyme, China?! That said, it's a case of being careful what you wish for, I suppose. I always held that the YM had no place in the professional lineup since it was little more than a blinged-up Sub, with no features specific to yachting. Who was to know they'd come up with this abortion?

I love the GMT and the Milgauss, as for the rest, oh dear. What is Rolex trying to do?

Nothing for me there.
I don't regret my GMT 2 of February 2007! The new Yachtmaster is downright ugly, isn't it? |

And after all that, they could have at least incorporated a DATE feature on that watch. The Zebra makes the Leopard actually look good by comparison. The Milgauss - well, it's not the original and that never did take off - now suddenly it's become a collectible and worth megabucks. The SS GMT-II with Ceramic is probably the ONLY good thing Rolex have done this year. Thank the Lord we still have our old beauties to go back to!!!!!

Horrible. Dissapointing. Not worth the wait. I have become a Rolex snob and will wear nothing but. However, you will never see me wearing any of those horrid new arrivals. With the exception of the GMT. What a bummer.
