Pepsi/Coke/Sprite GMT-Master II Unlikely
Hi All
I have seen numerous mentions on this forum about members desires for Rolex to make Pepsi/Coke (and even Sprite) versions of the GMT-Master II with ceramic bezel. However, I have been led to believe that Rolex are not able to make ceramic dials contain two separate colours. If so then it is unlikely we will see a resurrection of this type of GMT. Does anyone have any further information on this matter? M |

I thnk the general concensus (& my own AD's inclination too) is that (at this point in time at least) you're right.

I think the multi-colored dials are history - especially since the new version is selling so well. It sure would be nice to see them again.

I have heard the same rumors that is why I just grabbed a GMT ceramic... would love to see a Pepsi/Coke ceramic but I think it will be in the distant future if at all. IMO that is.

I think they would be great to see, and hopefully it will happen. However the cost to change the insert will be prohibitive for most owners.

unlikely to see any of these combos for a while, i read somewhere Rolex has tried but the colours bleed so it looks messy

Evidently its the Red colour that is difficult to manufacture, as the blue ceramic is in the Sub, so less of a problem. We will just have to wait and see.

They are still working on the two tone ceramic. I think several watch companies are racing to find the solution.

Well they patened the use of two or more colours in a ceramic bezel, so I would reckon that they are still working on it
