Trimmed down my collection over the last few weeks!!

Hi guys,

Looks like I'm a 2-Rolex guy once more..............here's the story.

Sub-date 16610 V-series purchased April this year sold at cost to a very near and dear family member.

Exp-II white dial sold on our local auction site TRADE ME.

TT GMT-IIC sold on TRADE ME as well.

Which leaves me with the 3-year old SS/Pt. YM and the new Sub-C.

Why the decision to sell the other two, JJ? It seemed like you really loved both of them.

Yes, I did, John....................but given my current health situation, I felt cash in the bank made more sense. I didn't lose on either of the watches.

The YM is one watch my wife won't let me sell ever!!

At the end of the day, they are just watches. Your health/happiness are what is most important. Both of those models can reacquired with little to no difficulty once you beat this.

Good for you JJ. For you to be able to break-even with such recent models speaks volumes for owning a Rolex

It's better you trim your armhair Flipper.

Nice choice on the keepers JJ. They compliment each other well. Good to see the Platy still holds some magic for you.

Both look stunning. Thanks for sharing. May I know why did you sell the Sub Date and purchase the new Sub C?

I hope you will be feeling better.

Like I said, a very near and dear family member fell in love with the 16610 and insisted on buying it. I thought what the heck and gave it to him at cost - no profit, no loss - and then ordered the new Sub-C.

So basically, I sold off 3 Rolexes and bought the new Sub-C..............certainly helped with some savings.

I just pray and hope my health improves.

Thanks, Karis. I see you got rid of your Sub-date. Well, as long as you're happy with the 2 you have right now, that's fine.

A very happy New Year to you and your loved ones.

That's about as good a reason as one could have. Like Jason said, they are just watches. Great news that you made your money back. Speaks well to the value of a Rolex.

Hi JJ,

glad to hear from you again, hope you are doing well and better now every day to come!

One question: On your new SubC, do you have 4.5 bracelet links on the 6 o'clock side?

Happy New Year!!!
