AD discounts...

Gents,
I am new to this forum and am recently in the market for a new Panerai. Generally what kind of discount will an AD give for an instock piece. Nothing too rare. I am looking at 111 or 000

thanks

pay cash and you might get a little, most seem not to get any but still worth a try because it has been know,a spare strap can be got so make sure you get one of those, the straps go for around $300 so not all bad,try to get a JV nubuck gator as they are well thought off and one of, if not the most expensive OEM Pam straps.

What Model?

Some time depend on what model you are looking for, normally 15 - 20% off is very possible. PM me if you are interested.

Im guessing you will hear anything from 0 - 20%, but my experience is 10% at best.

You can realize 20% if you do some digging about.

thanks for the feedback, my AD offered 15% with no hesitation so perhaps if I offer cash or just play hardball a bit I can get 20% or better. Hopefully a wristshot will be in the future...

Your AD is nice. I'd ask for 15% and have them throw in an OEM Gator Strap.

For a common piece like the 000 or 111, I would expect no less than 10% anymore and you've scored. Also, try to buy out of state to save on sales tax if possible.

When I purchased my watch I got 15% and that was in the islands. The deal maker was the FreyWillie ring that my wife got with the deal. $600.00 ring for $100.00. This let the AD stay within his guidelines for discounting. Yes I know that was probably his cost but still was a great add on.
Sometimes as others have stated see what they will add to the deal for free or at reduced prices. It is called negotiating and make it fun. Both of you will feel like you got a deal.

Also consider buying off the for sale forums here. I just picked up a brand new 312 for 20% off dealer price (plus no tax is nice as well). Panerai warranties are transferable so they are still valid if you purchase here.
