Pepsi ceramic news

Hi
I have heard from very reliable source that Rolex have overcome the color mixing issue with the ceramic bezel, so you might see a pepsi gmt ceramic soon.

If a company like Tiret can make a Kanye West themed watch in his likeness I am very hopeful for a ceramic pepsi!

I started a thread about these sorts of rumors earlier today, asking if they ever turn out to be credible.

So what connection does your "very reliable source" have to Rolex?

A GMTIIC 'Pespsi' would be great!

Wonder if the take away the green text and green GMT hand otherwise it will be WAY to many colors IMHO

But then again, we have heard this from many 'reliable' sources before, so untill we see a sneakpeak from Rolex it is still just an 'rumour'

We will have to see if it is true, you never know, but AD's are not the most reliable source. The GMT Master would know better, as he works in an AD, and he has never even hinted that a new Pepsi ceramic is round the corner.

Agreed. In pricipal a Pepsi bezel would be amazing but it would absolutely clash with the green hand and lettering so maybe they would have to release it as a unique watch rather than an interchangeable bezel (if true at all)?

Otherwise you'd have to also replace the 24hr hand and dial when putting the Pepsi on.

Am I alone in thinking a half black / half green bezel might be the ticket?

I would rather see the Green/black bezel, it would bring something new to the game. Rolex has emphasized hard on the green color lately, the color green seems to be "the" color for the GMT master Ceramic.

If there's a blue/red or black/red bezel, I think we need to see the red text and red 24h hand.

I am not a dealer , it just that a friends brother works for Rolex Uk, and all his information in past has been correct, that's why I think he might be right.

Hello all,

first time poster here.

Do you think the price of the older rolex GMT models such as the 16710 would go up or down if a GMT ceramic would come out?

I'm asking because I'm saving up money for a GMT (being a student and all...), I have been obsessed with the gmt pepsi for a long time and would hate to see a sudden price increase.

Thanks,
Tom

Thanks for the info. Appreciated you taking your time to clarify your source.
I really do hope Rolex releases colour combo ceramic bezel inserts/GMTIICs.
Please do let us know if you heard anything new from your source and hope you have not been discouraged by previous posts about questioning your info.

Now - I think it is a great news and really really hope that mr Rolex will make a green/black GMTIIC one day

Misleading title. Cannot believe Rolex has any interest in making a two colour ceramic bezel version at this stage. Makes no economic sense and potentially confuses your market - most of which will have no inkling of what a "Pepsi" is.

Actually wonder if Rolex ever considered the idea of a two colour ceramic bezel. Neither a "Pepsi" nor a "Coke" would go with a green 24 hour hand.

There is a massive demand for a 2 colour bezel. It has been a classic look for the older model GMTs for years. Rolex will match the 24hr hand to the colour of the bezel (most probably opting for red).

Disagree - the fact that Rolex has coloured stone Pepsi bezel for the current bling GMTIICs is an indication that they still want "the Pepsi" to be out there....

I bet a SS ceramic Pepsi or Coke or Green/black GMTIIC will allow Rolex to re-ignite the flame.

Hard (for me) to believe rolex would launch two different watches with similar functionality at once.

About time. I always thought the allure of the GMT was the color combinations.

I hope the color on the ceramics will match those of the older models if they can produce it. I'm not a fan of the current blue color on the WG Subs.
