when 116610 LN/LV were planned ??

Just out of curiosity I'm wondering how many years ago the board room at Rolex decided " ok guys,we'll go ceramic bezel in......25 years . Call lab and tell them to come up with some blueprints by next week".

Noone knows I think. But knowing Rolex, it must have been at least 4-5 years before the first ceramic bezeled watch (GMT IIC) was launched.

Agreed, these things don't happen overnight. I wonder if it was when they started introducing mid-life changes to the various models in the range, such as non-lughole cases and SELs. In terms of design, it's probably the biggest leap since the watches were first designed in the 1950s
