Oh Lord....give me strength!!
I suppose the BIG question on everyone's mind is what is JJ going to flip or buy next?
If my mind can strongly rule over my heart and the cleavages, I'd be more than happy to wait until 2007 (when of 2007, I cannot say) for my beloved and heart throb - TT Daytona with rhodium dial. So what's gonna happen between now and then??? That is the BIG question!! I wish somehow I had a crystal ball in front of me and could fortell what was in store for me in 2006. Yesterday, I was discussing the TT Daytona with Zemina who also seemed to like it (she loves TT watches too); but seriously told me not to flip any of the ones I have in order to buy that. "Only buy the TT Daytona when you really can afford it, but not at the cost of either the YM or the Exp." Nice, sensible comments (I wish) welcome please! Thank you!!

You already got your sensible comments. Do you really think we would contravene anything Zemina suggests? You really would be crazy if you thought that.

But, due to other financial priorities, I have to wait until 2007 at least. The TT Daytona isn't exactly as cheap as the other SS sports Rollies. JJ

Hey JJ,
As far as TT watches go JJ I like the Daytona that you have ear marked as I not a TT guy normally. What sought of cost new is that and what comparison is it to the SS prices.?? Aaron |

Don't know what the list price on the SS is, but out-the-door price is NZ$15,000. Go figure. JJ

Why does the SS Daytona cost more than a TT?

Why anyone would want to pay MORE for an SS watch with the SAME damn movement and lose out on all that precious, SOLID 18 K gold is beyond my comprehension!!! It's this psychological thing about the SS....Lord knows what it is....but, believe me, if you place any SS Daytona (be it black or white dial) next to the TT Daytona I've pictured above, the SS will just fade away!! Trust me on this one, guys, I've done it.....the SS doesn't even stand a chance near the TT!!!! JJ

Hey JJ,
With the price differences between the two it would be a no brainer for me.I would go with the TT in this model as it would be a dress watch. If I were looking to flip a Daytona obviously the SS would be the go,but I am not,so I am with you on this one JJ. Aaron |

JJ: I like the blue faced YM SOOOOO much better than the Daytona you're proposing. I realize the heart wants what it wants, but this is my $0.02...

The meteorite is the only Rolex left that I would really like to have. I will say the JJ's desired TT rhodium dial Daytona is a very nice looking watch, and IMO, it's much nicer looking than the black dial, white dial, or other dial colors. But it still doesn't hold a candle to the meteorite on a strap.

[QUOTE=Rockrolex]To the best of my knowledge, Steve, the meteorite only comes in WG. I'm not sure it would look anywhere near as good in TT. And frankly, the meteorite looks best with the black or brown strap. The bracelet just doesn't do it justice. Having tried them all on, I'm speaking from first hand experience.
as i mentioned i did think that "Pleasure Costs" but it may well be a long..... wait if that is to be my next , i do concur with all your comments though , with the strap as well as looking more dressyIMO the focus is on the watch face and i think the meteorite/roman numeral dial is stunning and would look great on a black strap another stunning combination i think is the black MOP with the gold roman numerals, looking on the bright side should be cheaper on a strap?? thanks steve |

This Nano retails here for €259 but at some point I found myself thinking that I would offer €295, just to get one. Then I regained my senses. I’m on a waiting list now. That’s how it is with the SS Daytona. It’s just fever! Take care, Frans.
