If you are awarded your choice of Rolex...
As many of you know, I deal in pre-owned Rolex's. It amazes me employees of large oil companies or any other large company still awards Rolex watches. I think it is great. What is confusing is the employee doesn't know which ones have a better value. Case in point; You have your choice of an Explorer II (black dial), two-tone mens DateJust or a stainless model, a ladies stainless DateJust with the hidden clasp Jubilee, a his and hers Oyster Perpetual ladies & Mens AirKing...then there is Cartier, Tag Heuer....and guess what I see most of the time? The his and hers matching OP and Air-King. Ugh...the least desirable.
All I do at the point is roll my eyes in my head. Oh and they give them a $10,800 limit to stay within. I do have clients that will come in and ask which Rolex "I want". Comical yes, but many would rather paint their house or buy a big screen tv or the kids need braces. So for those getting ready to be awarded a Rolex for 20 years of service...step away from the Air-Kings and Ladies No-Dates...Step away...
