Metal color question, 16613/16610
I have a 16610 (F serial) and a 16613 (K serial) I just picked up. I noticed the metal (SS) on the TT seems to be a different hue? I at first thought it was the finishing, but it seems the metal is different? Not sure if the pics will help but does anyone else own both watches that can compare? Did they use different metals for TT for effect?
The bracelet end codes match up and so forth. Weight is fine.. I was thinking of having it refinished by a pro but first I wanted to see what you guys thought:) Thanks for any input in advance! |

Browsing around the forums looking at 16613 it starting to seem normal. I wonder if it has to do with people polishing the gold links and over polishing the brushed? *shrug*

Looking at the Rolex site pix the steel on the GS Sub looks like titanium compared to the old model... Same thing with the SS Sub.

Chris, i think you are right. I think it a finish/polishing difference is all. Should be the same grade SS in both watches.

Thanks for the input guys, I was thinking about a 86 datejust I owned and some of the links that were over polished started to look similar.
