My first but not my last
I pulled the trigger last Wednesday night on purchasing my very first Rolex TT 16613 (2006 no holes). I thank you TRF members for being so supportive to newbies like me.
Big thank you to Tony aka "justrolexes" for the sale. I also appreciate the support DavidSW provided. Tomorrow I drop it off at my local AD to be sent off to Rolex for a Full Service. I want to make sure everything that needs to be oiled, sealed, pressure tested is. We are very active in sports from running, swimming, kayaking and I don't want to second guess if my watch can get wet or not. My local AD said for me to expect 6 to 7 weeks before it would come back from Rolex. Today was just beautiful here in Texas My husband couldn't resist trying it on. I have to say it looks great on him him too. |

That's a beautiful watch, Lisa. Was wondering is you've heard of the famous Bob Ridley who also provides professional service on Rolex watches. Believe he's in or near Houston.
Enjoy your new acquisition! ~JD |

Congrats! Send it to someone else, get the same (if not better) service and get it back faster.

Lisa - very lovely watch. I've never seen it on a female before. Very sexy I must say. Now I have to get the image of hubby's hairy arm out of my head.

Thank you. I've not heard of him but I just googled the name and I expect this is who you're referring to. http://www.watchmakers.com/index.html Nice to know we have good watchmakers around. For the first service, it's going to Rolex to get checked out. Futures services, I'll reach out possibly to Mr. Ridley or my jewelers watchmaker who services Rolex. Thx for the referral. This watch feels so great on, it's going to kill me to be without it for 6 to 7 weeks. It's nice that I don't have to deal with shipping it, since my local AD will handle that for me. |

Thank you. I thought the same thing a couple months ago when I saw a wrist shot of a women wearing a men's Datejust. It looked sexy, elegant, sophisticated, sporty chic and hot damn that's what peaked my interest into Rolex. The TRF members here were great at posting pics of women wearing men's rolexes. By seeing the pics, trying classic models and the new models on in person, that's what sealed the deal for me with the 16613. My husbands harry arms, that is too funny. Lisa |
