50th anniversary submariner
New to the forum , I decided to register because i have been reading comments for a few weeks. I own 2 Submariners (2010 models black ceramic and green ceramic on green dial). Unfortunately i'm hooked...
My question is, i just purchased a 50th anniv green bezel to "round out" my collectoin and although i am sure it is real (i will recieve it early next week) i still have my concerns. I have read all the comments about how to spot a fake but it seems the replica vendors have gotten trickier over time to try and keep up with the measures Rolex is taking to stop them (although we all know that will not happen). I purchased the watch through a private collector and had a thorough conversation with this person regarding my concerns. He owns a "brick and mortar" jewelry store and gave me the option to return the watch within 3 days if i found it to be fake. There is a local Rolex authorized dealer near me and i have purchased 3 other Rolex from them. Is my best way to approach this to bring it to this dealer and have them check it out? I am very confident after reviewing the close up pics, checking for the telltale signs etc, that the watch is real but after reading over the past couple weeks i am a bit unsure. Thoughts from anyone? Thanks |
