Polish slight scratches
...on my nearly new SS Sub Date. Ideas anyone? The scrates are on the one outer and center link second from the 12 0'clock side and cannot be felt with my fingers, only seen as a scratch in the otherwise perfect brushed surface of the steel.
Is there something I can "buff" this out with? p.s. ever since getting the GMT II Red/Black back from the RSC in Dallas, and even though I bought the F-series EXP 1 two weeks ago I've been wearing the GMT pretty much all the time. Nice curse!!

I use a little bit of metal polish on a soft cloth. On my GMT 50yr I'm always getting scratches on the gold strip on the clasp. As soon as I put my arm down anywhere it gets scratched.

Cape Cod
Well Gents,
Cape Cod Cloths are the Nirvana!.....thye work very nice. I use very light pressure and it polishes the gold to look like new... Got mine from some vendor on ebay...but do a google search and I am sure you will find plenty of places that have it. |

Any guys with gold I can really reccommend the "Shino jewellers red rouge polishing cloth"!!!!!!!!!!! IMHO i was able to achieve a undistingushable mirror factory finish [cape cod whilst great on SS is somewhat harsh!!!!!!!!!on softer gold but for actual scratches using both, following up with the "Shino" rouge cloth gets you that mirror factory finish IMHO] steve
