WARNING - Chris Gates ([email protected])
Do not deal with Chris Gates ([email protected])
In response to my WTB listing, I got an email from this guy with the exact text of an older FS listing, and he attached one of the pictures. The price offered was shockingly low, which set off alarm bells. He hasn't followed up with my requests for more pictures, references, and how he knew to contact me. I contacted the original FS listing's author and confirmed the person who contacted me had no relation to the original sale of the watch and was indeed a scam.

There seems to be a lot of these "WTB ads " scams going on lately .

There really do seem to be a lot going round - its too bad. Thankfully they're spottable when you start conducting due diligence :)
