Guinness travesty

I had a bottle of Guinness Draught the other night, and they were the new bottle without the widget.

Dislike. I'm just doing cans from now on.

You learned a valueable lesson.

Whenever possible, drink Guiness at a pub from the tap.

When that isn't possible, the can will do in a pinch.

The bottle widget, tastes funky!!!!

Draught in a can is the best home solution for Guinness when you can't get to the pub!

I've found over the years Guinness can be a hit or a miss in a lot of pubs

Sometimes it tastes so good - the pints gone before you know it\ other pubs its bitter. I believe the secret is that it needs to be kept on flow i.e. if you go in & ask for a pint & your the 1st person to ask in a day or so. Not good

Not tired the bottles yet - I keep draught cans in the fridge which a close second to what you get in a good pub

I have had Guinness when I've been abroad and it's never the same as at home. Best pint of Guinness is in Dubin!! I Recommend everyone to come to Ireland and compare! Any of my family from America who were over fell in love with the pints :)

I've always preferred any type of beer from a can. I must like the seasoned flavor of aluminum....:)

If you've got an old style Sub just lick the bezel between mouthfuls of draft in the pub!

I am never having another Guinness unless I go back to the gravity bar in Dublin. It was so much better... My wife tried it and she doesn't even like beer...

Stick to Dragon stout. Much better than Guinness.

This post inspired me... I've been fancying a Guinness for days!

I've just come home after picking up a case of the Liffey Water.

The plan for this evening is Jaws on the DVD player and more than a few Guinnesses!

Bah Humbug!

LMAO . . .

If you bought this:

Thinking you were getting this:

You learned a valuable lesson in the difference in Extra Stout and Draught

Again students, this

is not this,

So get one of these

and have a pint

Because we are all just squirrels looking for a nut

smile, the Toucan is watching

Aaaahhh, no.

They actually changed the Draught in the bottle. No widget, and it is now carbonated. It tastes like they mixed a bottle of Extra Stout with Draught.

No matter where you buy your guinness it will have been high gravity brewed and pastuerised. Even in Dublin! It's how it's cared for and dispensed in the pubs and bars that affects the flavour.
