Question about the dial of 16613

Hi all,

Heard from a watch collector....that the blue dial of 16613 will fade over time....is it true???

Any evidence that it will fade after some years?

Well Clarence, perhaps if it has been in direct sunlight for a very long period of time, but this is mine, and it is a 1997-vintage. Looks OK to me!

Well some of the older ones from the late 80s very early 90s did fade and sometimes going slight purple in colour. But that was down to the paint pigment used. Now later dials I have not heard of any problem with normal wearing. But suppose like everything if left in the sun long enough it would fade.

I guess so, Allan. The reason I'm asking is cos my blue sub is sitting put in a very 'dark' place....and it will only 'appear' once in a blue moon...

Well, with that kind of care, you have nothing to worry about, Clarence. Wear it in good health and a clear conscience!

hey Clarence, stop trying to talk yourself out of it & don't listen to those voices of doubt, you know they won't win

The blue TT Sub is simply mesmerising, you never ever regret owning one.

TT Blue

I 'always' wanted a blue sub but heard this story over and over. Then I fell in love with the slate serti dial and the problem was solved.

Get the TT Blue Sub. You'll love it!

I don't understand why the serti dial does not come in blue!? I'm not talking about the bezel. The actual dial!?
