What are those??

This is the Diga del Cingino dam in Italy. Can you see the little dots on the wall? What do you think they are?






Look closer maybe.....






Still not sure what they are?? Let's take a closer look again......









Well I'll be darned! They are European Ibex and they like to eat the moss & lichen, and lick the salt off the dam wall...

Seriously - do they ever lose their balance and plummet to the bottom? If I were a predator, I think I'd make my home at the bottom of that dam.

When I was in Alaska, I asked a guide the same question, he said that yeah, once in a while they will fall to their deaths, as sure-footed as they are.
