Explorer II 16570 bracelet Q

Couple of questions in regards to a 16570

1) Is it possiable to get a Sub-C bracelet to fit ?

2) What is the going rate for a used bracelet for this model ?

Cheers in advance

1. both are 20mm lug to lug
2. If 97200 then it's £1170 brand new. If 78790 then about £700

How do you tell the difference ?

And with the brand new prices what could I expect pre-owned to go for ?

if you want to sense check that the width really is 20mm, you get your measure tape out, you call RSC or you go see an AD...

no chance in hell of finding a pre-loved Sub C bracelet

No sorry meant how do you tell the difference between 97200 and the 78790 bracelets ?

And also meant the original bracelet for an explorer.

Sorry for being confusing

If you know, you cannot mistake a SubC bracelet for any earlier bracelet.... :)

"Original Bracelet" depends on how many years you go back...

The current SEL original bracelet for an Explorer II is the 78790A. You look here:

Oh right I now understand the 97200 is the Sub-C bracelet..

Ok I thought they where two variations of explorer II bracelets.

So it's a 78790A bracelet I would need and do come up for sale pre-owned very often and if so what is the going rate ?

Sorry for all the questions I have the chance to purchase a Explorer II (head only) and I already have a Sub-C so was thinking of sharing the pair between a Zulu and the 97200, or finding out cost to source a pre-owned 78790A.

All a lot clearer now thanks guys

Even if you don't want to buy on eBay, it's still a good source for determining the going rate for used items.

You might try the 97200 bracelet.. It should fit if you use some Explorer II spring-bars. The spring-bars in the Sub-C are unique to the ceramic models and will not fit into an Exp II..

Buying the head of an Explorer II could be a good deal, or a bad deal. The bracelet alone is around a thousand dollars, so you should expect to pay considerably less than market price for a "head only". Tshere are also some very sought after Explorer II's... that could make the difference...

The Explorer II looks killer on a Hirsch curved end (Leonardo series) leather strap..

Larry, from memory you have your black Exp II on this strap - could we see a snap mate?
