What's funny is that on that linked page is a comment posted by a banned TRF member about the forum, and trying to get permission to come back.

But isn't there some ambiguity as to the originality of the three color dials? Was a thread on VRF that John Mayer took part in discussing it a couple of years ago.

Wrong dial- you speak of the Mayer dial not the RCO dial. It is an amazing tropical specimen. I have seen 4 of these in my life and this being the only tropical one. This is an old article which I saw when it auctioned off last year or so. What a stunner!!
Ps- there is no ambiguity of the 3 color dials - only the Mayer dial-of which I make no comment either way!

Whoever won this watch is one lucky guy! Can't get over the RCO dial gone tropical!!!!!!!!!!
Like just having a 3CRCO dial wasn't enough you had to take it further!

another hodinkee promotion ...whats that all about ?

the watch was bought by Davide parmigani..probably the worlds most prominent and exclusive dealer of high end watches based in Italy..

I'd rather have the red PN than this because red Daytona's go faster

Just to clarify, the posts from Hodinkee are not masquerading as publicity or promotion for a site that makes money from advertising. I apologise for this as there is no intention to promote this site, i was merely covering myself against any plagiarism and origin of the information.
