make sure you visit the patek philippe museum in planpalais. you can park underneath and it's about a five minute walk. it's overwhelming. easily the best watch museum in the world.

Was with wife and 2 kids and my friend with his wife and 2 kids and there's only me into watches, so couldn't get them to PP Museum. Went to Patek shop, it's like forte Knox. 2 locked doors to get through plus 2 security guards on door. They looked me up and down and let me in after they noticed my daytona. There's a plush lounge at the back with some very wealthy looking people being pampered. Great city, I'll upload some pics when back to UK in a few days.

I visited many Rolex AD's in Geneva, none had a S/S Daytona available and were still saying many years wait!

Back home from Geneva. Geneva Airport - WOW! The watch shops are unbelievable. Was in the Rolex shop, asked the sales Lady what the situation was for S/S Daytona, she said 7 years wait still. She gave me a nice Basel World catalogue and a nice Rolex magazine!

Thanks for the pictures I was there many, many years ago - cleanest city I have ever been in. We had a trip around Lake Geneva and went into the Alps where friends had a mountain hut - wonderful. We also went over the border into France to Annecy where they had the best market I have seen. Thanks for bringing back memories

We spent a day in Annecy (they are hoping to get 2018 winter olympics there) - Beautiful place. We hired a boat out for an hour on the lake.

I was wondering , were in prices in Geneva a bit less or more than the rest of Europe? Do they offer any decent discounts over there? Thanks.

Prices seemed similar, though was just guestimating based on raw knowledge of exchange rates from Swiss Francs/Euro/£Pound Sterling, I didnt get into asking for discounts, but there is alot of competition there as theres loads of AD's
