What does your girl think

Hello

What does your girl (wife, girlfriend, maybe mistress) about the collections and hobbies that u have?

For example, what does she think about your Rolex collection do u have to barter with her "honey if I buy the new sub-c we'll redo the kitchen" or is it more like "I'll be back in an hour or so and o ya I'll be back with a new Rolex "?

This question also goes for any other pricEy collection u have does she support u but stays hands off, supports u but stay's hand on "get me one to for my collection" or do u get what u want after, and only after she gets what she wants?

The only reason I ask is well I don't Want to have to leave a future wife for my true love.

My Long-Haired General didn't quite get it at first but made no move to stop getting my Rolex since she knew how much I wanted one.
She has started to appreciate it more and more as she has seen it on my wrist. What really made a difference, however, was when she started to photograph it. It was then she started to notice how it "pops" more than of my other watches.

She and I run our polo-pony stud together so that has elements of shared hobby, for all it is our full-time business.

She didn't understand at first, bought her the Omega she liked, and she now undarstands that nagging on me for buying watches isn't going to change me. Women have some sort of dna built in, that they need to form their man into something more suitable for them...

I don't try to understand her stuff (decoration) and she doesn't mind my hobbies. We have some mutual hobbies (diving and motorcycles for example), so it's quite acceptable for me to keep watches, aviation and golf all to myself

My hobbies don't really come up in deep discussions with my wife. I don't use household money to finance my hobbies I move a gun or a knife for a watch and vice versa and have done very well over the years.

Whole point of staying single is to avoid such problems.::

But in all seriousness, a watch is secondary, and all your basic needs must be met first. Take the example now; where im currently job hunting; the 16233 had to go!! to me; it was my first watch; but if times call for the sale of it, i will make no hesitation to do so.

However, once im on my feet with sufficient reserves, I will reward myself with a watch that ive been eyeing for a while.

My wife thinks my interest in watches is great. Plus she now has an affinity for nice watches as well. No issues at all in my household.

I bought my wife a Rolex last month and that seemed to be a great solution. Problem is that I really dont want any more expensive watches right now.. I barely wear the ones I have. She does however have a problem with me buying cars, specifically winter beaters.... She has basically forbid me from buying anymore used cars so I have a solution for that too.

My wife thinks my Rolexes are very nice but doesn't wear a watch herself so there isn't an understanding about them. Convincing her that I need a new orange handed explorer is gonna be tough.

I also collect license plates which she thinks is the dumbest hobby of all.

But she loves me and we're happy and that's the important thing.

I do what I want.

Seriously though - she doesn't mind, she has visited watch shows with me and has immersed herself in it. Plus she is happy I no longer collect... Ahem.... Hole punchers. Got enough of those, so just sticking to my present collection.

My wife pretends not to care about my watches, but I know she is starting to become interested. With so many Hollywood ladies wearing men's Rolex these days it is nearly impossible not to notice them and pique her interest.

For now however, every time I buy a watch, she adds something to my "Honey Do List"

My last Rolex cost me new carpeting in our great room and family room (yet to be delivered)

Well, the typical situation is the happy couple in their wedding day photo.

Insert a thought bubble above each head to explain their smiles.

His bubble says "She won't change!".

Her bubble says "He'll change!".

This girl did all the research to buy her husband his first good watch, and also developed all the Rolex expertise in the household. And this is typical of our major collecting initiatives except for musical instruments, which we both have connoisseurship in--well, maybe I'm a bit stronger in that dept but not very.

As long as there's enough money for the college and retirement funds, he can spend what he wants on watches. Lately, Rolex has taken a back seat to his flight simulator hobby. I'm finding that said hobby can quickly become as expensive as a Rolex hobby.

I need a hobby.

Drives my wife nuts. I try to get her involved, and she may show an ounce of intrest before she's looking for the shoe store.

My lovely wife thinks I am eccentric. But she knows that is a good quality when we go jewelry shopping for her!

My girlfriend doesn't mind it at all. I think my surf habit drives her a little crazy sometimes though... "I can't go to lunch because the surf is double overhead."

Financial independence is our first goal.

The rest, we spend on each other. I like watches, she likes purses, jewelery and massages. We both love vacations. So, we share.

my wife of over 30 years really doesn't care and really had no specific watch interest. In fact she is quite happy with the SS/diamond raymond weil I recently got her (nice watch, 50% off too). But then agian, over the years she has aquired (bought by me) diamond stud earings, tennis bracelet, anniversay ring and many other bobbles and bangles (good stuff). As long as I'm not spending the mortgage money it's a moot point. She is a great woman!
