Where would you live?

If money was not an object, what U.S. state and city would you live in and why? But, to make it a little realistic, lets say the house is 3500 square feet 5 bed, 3.5 bath on 1/4 acre of land. That way keeps the playing feild even. Places like NYC will be at a cap of the same size and amentities.

Just curious and did this on another site and found some interesting facts.

Mine would be a beach house in Malibu California. I love the ocean and the beach and would love to wake up and walk out onto my deck, watch the sun come up and then swim in the ocean. My dream.

Post em up,,,

Malibu is nice but traffic will drive you nuts within a few days. South Beach in Miami is nice if you can stand the tornados.

Ann Arbor, Michigan. It has everything I could possibly want. I understand wanting to live somewhere hot like Miami or Malibu. But me? I need all 4 seasons, it keeps things exciting.

San Francisco. On the water, great weather. Classic homes and beautiful architecture. Close to the Wine country in the north, Carmel and Monterey in the south. Great food and drink. Easy to hop a flight from SFO to anyplace in the world.

California for the weather, or just outside vegas for the partying

Then again Ive been to NYC and thought it was amazing! But the colder weather would do my head in during the winters!

Milwaukee or St. Paul for the mild winters........
Or perhaps San Diego for the perfect climate and fact that my family is from there!!

Bozeman, MT if money was no object. If I had the money now I would quit my job and move back tomorrow. I love Montana and really miss my hometown.

Just a few Hurricanes every summer.

You know what, they are similar to a marriage.

In the beginning there's a lot of huffing, puffing and blowing and when it's over the house is gone.

I'm not sure where I'd choose, but having lived in one bad-traffic area for a few years (San Antonio, TX) I would say that less-congested streets is a must. I don't want to spend big hunks of my life sitting on the freeway inhaling exhaust fumes, even if it means giving up interesting dining/shopping experiences.

In fact, I don't like crowded cities much in general... Maybe a nice acreage somewhere... where I could keep the windows open at night... and a good sized pond for fishing.... but not too far from a larger city, and one that had a Whole Foods market.

Oh, wait - you did say a quarter acre, didn't you...

South eastern Florida. Most of the people down there are originally from the north east so I would feel at home. Cali is too far a move for me.
