Is this Bracelet a Fake?
Hello Forum, I wondered if you could help.
I've seen one or two of these Jubilee style bracelets on a vintage Oysters. They don't seem right though, are they/were they manufactured by Rolex or are they some sort of "aftermarket" strap? I'd appreciate some opinions. Thanks, Andy B. |

Is the bracelet SS and the clasp gold or is it just the camera?

Anyway, there is "ROLEX STAINLESS STEEL MADE IN USA" stamped on the inside of the clasp but not in the familiar calligraphic style, it is just a plain block capital style script. I don't have a photo of this though.

Both clasp and bracelet are steel.

That is an original Rolex JB band. JB manufactured the bands for Rolex. Rolex purchased this company sometime during the 1990's.
In the USA, you will also see many vintage bands stamped CI, which manufactured bracelets for Rolex.

Thanks,
So this bracelet wasn't made by Rolex but it was made for Rolex. Is this band from the 90's or is it from the era of the watch it's on ie. the 50's/60's? AB. |

It looks like 1960's from the photo. It could be later though. Rolex sourced out many items for the watches to include bracelets.
