G-Shock

Yesterday I bought a new G-Shock it's one of the models with analog display and digital for the other functions. It's sets its time by the atomic clock and runs on solar power.....pretty cool. I plan on using it for bicycling this season!!!

Yes but think how good you'll look tooling around with a cool G-Shock on your wrist soaking up the rays!!!

Is there any casios that measure kilometers for a runner? From what I researched, none in the G-Shock line do.

Thanks.

Could someone please tell me what model numbers are solar powered? I am thinking about picking up one or two of these but do not want to deal with a battery? or is there a good resource for this somewhere? Thanks

GW3500 - thats what I have...

Its pretty much everything short of having a compass and barometric fn's.

But it is a "TOUGH MVT." and "TOUGH SOLAR" and Multi Band atomic...

There are other solar powered GShocks but you need to head over to WatchUSeek and their Gshock Forum, theres a lot of info there...

Plain old frogman, red plastic, $7999.95
I guess it's the Paul Newman of G-shocks.

Wow....all the cool Casio G-shocks...............excellent.......... .........but, bah humbug,
how about this old school Casio dive watch from 1992, bought @ that wonderful emporium, "Costco"......no solar/battery....just a trad battery......40mm....fairly tiny & thin for a Casio.

Nice, G-shock with atomic timing!

Can my non atomic join in too!? Heres mine the one on the right is my second one of the same one, its predecessor died 5 years ago after being with me for 5 years. It was hard work tracking down the same one but I managed to find one from a shop in Hong Koing and had them ship to me. I don't think I can find another one if this second one self destruct! Its an Illuminator model JC 22 nicknamed 'the running man' with its animated running stick man when you activate the pace mode.

The one on the left is the G-shock street rider, it used to be my good watch and the JC22 my beater watch before I fell into the luxury watch world LOL

The protection padding of the G-shock series is truly incredible, my street rider has been with me for many years and its crystal is as good as new. A friend was looking at it some time ago and asked how I managed to not scratch the crystal...I don't know...it protects itself with its layers of rubber muscle

I'm also a BIG fan of the G-shocks. I have a G-Shock Mudman, and while it's not getting too much wrist time as of recently, it's one of my favorite "go anywhere do anything" watches !
