Please Help with eBay Submariner Serti
Hello, all. Reading this forum over the past few weeks to months has been an invaluable learning process. I'm graduating from medical school in a few weeks and I wanted to celebrate with my first quality watch.
I know, I know, eBay... but I love the champagne Serti and with eBay Bucks the price is fair - I'm trying to stay under $6k. I called Bernard, they said they get maybe 1 Serti a year. Demesy has none in my price range. Capetown has 1 but no papers. What are people's thoughts on this watch? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...:X:RTQ:US:1123 The seller has been on eBay for over 10 years. No other watches sold but he did buy a Daytona a few months back. He says he has all papers and 2005 service records. Thanks, thanks thanks in advance for any help. I'm just a "baby" doctor... and I'd hate to get scammed on my graduation presents for myself. My first post! |

The pictures of the watch looks good!
The seller's feedback does not look good, though. If a local buy, then I would say go for it. WELCOME TO THE FORUM |

not a bad watch.. but.. for your money, you could get a slightly more upto date watch. that particular watch is good few years old and as such, it does not have gold through the clasp or solid end lins on the bracelet (93153 bracelet comapred to later 93253 bracelet).
some may prefer that older version.. but im just making you aware- incase you are unaware that there has been slight changes to the sub since that watch was made. also, im sure you will find the serti sub you are looking for within the forum- with peace of mind from an established trf seller. ps.. nice choice! my sub is having a champagne serti fitted to it as we speak! im staying with the black bezel though- it looks far better than blue (i have both blue and black bezels to compare).. |

Is it just me or does the cyclops look off. I realize the angles of the photos can change the look of the cyclops. But, it just does not look right.
