Which Sub to Buy; new vs pre-owned?

Hey out there,

I'm lookin for some opinions. I'm going to take the "plunge" and buy a sub . I can get a brand new from my AD here in Montreal for $5300.00 Canadian, or a 2 year old from someone in Toronto for about a $1000.00 less. My inclination is that for the extra monry, it is worth getting it from my trusted AD with all the support etc.
What are your thoughts?
