Quartz Rolex

Do not know anything about Rolex. This is being shipped to me and I have searched and searched for days, looking at pictures for one like this and have not found it. Any info you can give?

Picture is not the greatest but until it arrives via shipping this is all I have.

If fake that is ok. Paid hardly nothing for it. Since I have not owned a Rolex or a fake then I would consider whatever a plus.

And please tell me how you know it is fake? I get little from the pic which is why I am waiting till it arrives.

Ok. You know every watch Rolex made? I had searched and that would explain why I could not find. Do not know why anybody would fake something that does not look like anything Rolex made. Are you sure you know them all? To me having the fake is almost as good as having the real thing. If it is fake.

No I do not claim I know them all but I think I know enough, and if you think fake is almost as good as real then you are in the wrong forum.

The fact that you paid hardly nothing for it should tell you something.

Many so called fakes are not necessarily counterfeits of something Rolex made, but rather attempts at duping people into paying more for a watch believing that it's a Rolex.

To me, owning a fake Rolex would be an affront. I consider the theft of a company's trademark to be a serious crime.

I don't know how many quartz models Rolex made, but I know it is a small number and the Oysterquartz looks nothing like that.

Guess I will know for sure when it gets here

I got this watch more or less for free. If it was fake then it was faked many many years ago and imho would simply be something to just talk about. Do not think my FREE fake will hurt Rolex any. If it is fake.

The fact that it says quartz on it tells you it isn't that old, 50 years tops.

Cheap junk watches with the Rolex name on them devalues the name and need to be crushed.

Thank you. Knowing 50 is not so old may put a bounce back in my step. Sure does feel old to me. So you would crush without even trying to verify? Think I will wait till it gets here. Also tell me the harm if I get a FREE fake? How does that hurt Rolex? That is IF it is fake. Nobody yet has presented anything that proves this is fake YET.

Rolex never put Quartz like that on the dial, unless it was an Oysterquartz. There is one exception, but yours looks nothing like it.

I'm pretty sure it is fake, just the quality of the dial looks pretty crude. If you got it for free there's no harm done...

"To me having the fake is almost as good as having the real thing."

A statement such as this is proof you do not belong on this forum.

Good bye.

ROLEX is printed crooked, "gold" plating is chipping off the lower right corner and this is simply a watch that was never made by Rolex.
