I went to a very cool car show.

Today, the Marin-Sonoma concours @ the Marin Civic Ctr. in San Rafael, Ca.
A great show....benefits a hospice......180 cars plus wooden boats, classic
trailers & even an authentic reproduction LRDG truck!
Great food....and lots of beer & wine booths.....my kinda car show.......opend @ 10am......I had beer & brats for brunch......and for lunch BBQ pork sandwich, cole slaw & red wine......more red wine for dessert.....I'm coming back next year
I wasn't really looking for watches, but it seemed that the owners I spoke w/ wore Rolex, lot of subs........no 116610 types....all classics like the cars, exhibitors!
This red Mac Benz 300 gull wing was my favorite

but I could only afford this little red one......

From my birth year....a 1951 Willys

my new pad...I'm going mobile.....

My girlfriend liked this Alfa

Oh Lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz.....

I like the classics......

who says electric cars are new...bah humbug..the original chevy volt

my 2nd favorite....LRDG truck (read "Killing Rommel" by Steve Pressfield,
I cried I laughed, made me wanna hug a WW2 vet)

for the young buckaroo modernistas.....

I didn't go to the car show, but from what I saw on TV my favorite was a 1958 white Chevy Impala convertible. The '58 Chevy brings back memories of high school and American Graffiti.

P.S. Dan Pierce would dig this.........when the car show opened a very attractive grown up woman in tie dye jeans (we are in Marin County) sang the natl. anthem.......&
followed w/ an excellent rendition of Janis Joplin's (she lived in Marin & drove a Porsche)
"Oh Lord, Won't You Buy Me a Mercedes Benz" crowd went wild.
