My 1st Rolex (Sea-Dweller) and new member to the forum
Hey everyone,
John here new to the forum and to being a Rolex owner. At 30 I just purchased my first Rolex a used Sea-Dweller model 16600 A series with Clasp code of X 11 ( November 1999 manufacture date I believe). This watch is very special to me as it was a graduation present to myself after competing my Masters in Nursing as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/RN First Assist. It is my way of rewarding myself for 3.5yrs of long hard work and patience. Thanks to all who have given such awesome information on here. I had read about the watch "singing" too you on the forums but never knew what that meant until I tried on my SD, a model I hadn't even considered before. I had my heart set on a Stainless Steel Datejust but they just didn't do it for me when trying them on. Amazing how these things change. John |

Thank you all, yes very fitting gift for your step son Earl. I'm sure he loves it!! I do a good bit of free diving in the carribean and occasional Scuba so I'm excited to have a watch that I know can handle any depth that I may go too. I'm even more excited that it wasn't the watch I was expecting to buy but the one that called out to me. :)
