I can smell an Idle Swede incident here...

Make sure you snap one up before Rolex's IP legal team finds this, and when placing your order don't use your real name and use a PO box instead...

i'm not sure that it's meant for sale....i think the dude is showcasing his ideas for how to improve upon rolex's packaging with sustainable ideas.

i enjoyed the part of his presentation showing how to put your watch on after taking it out of the box....

+1.

It's bad enough getting a plastic box but, to me, the only thing that should come in a cardboard carton is Chinese Takeaway!

I'm not really a fan of all this jumping on the tree-hugging bandwagon by large companies who don't really care but want to be seen to be PC...

Plus... It's surely the wrong shade of green!

i think i would like it if it was made of plastic or had a winder in it , but then its not too environmentaly friendly

Beef is still consumed in parts of the world.......there's the hide of the cow(a beautiful creature, one of my favorites...mmmmmm In & Out burgers) those little leather Rolex boxes don't take a lot....there are safe ways to dye leather now.
Rolex, you cheap %. O. #.'s, bring back the leather boxes.

Just reading the stuff on the pamphlet , or whatever that is above ( and ignoring the spelling mistakes)

How will this solve the problem ?

If the original packaging was deemed too important to throw away , but it was not used ( as he claims ) , why would you throw it away after you buy his green mamba thing ??

I like the design , and the idea though....

I like the design of the box. Very modern and Eco friendly I'm sure. But, I don't think it suits the Rolex "style" It doesn't scream elegance or a timeless feel. Rolex better start making digital/holographic watches that will come in that kind of box. Although, I can see the new tudor's coming in that type of box; instead of green possibly a combination of Red and black.

And the current boxes do this??

I've bought $350 Citizen watches that came in more elegant and timeless packaging.

Looks like this Student Project suggests card stock / paper.

I would personally prefer a nicer naturally finished wooden box. Perhaps they could be modular / allow you to connect several to make a larger case made up of inter-locking watch boxes.

Just a thought.

Rolex wouldn't go for anything like it because it does not look prestige enough
