What's your favorite PAM?......
Mine has to be the 233.
IMO, it's the best all-around reference for the money. It's got the '50's case, small seconds, date, dot indicator, domed crystal, clear caseback, & 8-day (really 10-day) manual wind. Not to mention, she looks good with any strap (tunnel or french ammo). What's your fav?........ |

Thats a great watch Mike, and actually I almost got that one.
But my favorite is my one and only the Pam000.

My favorite is the 177. It has great historic looks...the darker brushed finish gives it a great vintage feel and the lighter weight makes it extremely comfortable.

Have the 24....now seriously considering a 320....233 is also a definite at some point, but am still anticipating more of a price drop on that reference.

Nice pics guys. If I REALLY had to pick from my two PAMs the best bang for the buck - it would have to be the zero. Still love my 233 to bits though...

I always seem to return to the 111. SE/LE PAMs have no extra appeal just because of this status - I either like the watch or I don't. Likewise inhouse movements. Have a soft spot for the 320 though, as it has more appeal than the 312 (which is also a nice watch). For me, a Panerai should be fairly simple, but not too simple i.e. not the Base models. And certainly not too complicated or busy-looking e.g. chronos, PR meter on dial, etc.

As far as models which have actually been produced, probably the 203. As far as production models which are attainable, probably the 233. But I think (and am hoping) that the 372 just might be the best of all.
