Anyone ever dealt with Antique Time (www.horologist.com) ?
I'm looking to get my vintage Rolex reference 1500 serviced and I stumbled upon this business called "Antique Time". Their website is www.horologist.com
I emailed them and they quoted me for $285 for a basic servicing. Has anyone ever dealt with them before? If not are there any other reputable watchmakers that specialize in Rolex servicing? I emailed a gent that was recommended named Bob Ridley but he has not gotten back to me yet. Sorry if this is the wrong area to post, I'm new to this forum |

Stumbled upon the site mentioned by the OP when I was internalizing acrylic vs. sapphire for my 16013.
I would be interested in any comments about that vendor as a Rolex service provider. Thank you in advance for your replies... Goose. |

For a vintage you would be a fool to go with anybody but Bob Ridley!!
The results posted here on TRF are truely amazing. The GMT that Bob lazer welded was unbelievable!

I agree with the others. While I have not personally had any of my watches serviced by Mr. Ridley, I have heard nothing but great things about his services. He is definitely in my Rolodex!

He can't be the only guy in the whole United States that can handle stuff like that. The OP just wanted to know if anyone new anything about the vendor he listed

Being that no one has posted good, or bad, about Antique Time (http://www.horologist.com/) steers me clear.
But, I bump as one last call for reference. Thanks all and, perhaps at least a week late, best wishes for a great 2012. |

Google is my friend...
BBB Rating: "F" http://www.bbb.org/oregon/business-r...rd-or-27030398 Kind of a bummer as it reflects four disputes but doesn't indicate success stories. What if, for example, eBay only listed negative feedback? But, alas, this is all I got to reflect upon. |
