A pair of GMTs

About 3 months ago I started a thread asking for opinions on a black vs. green dial YG ceramic GMT. My thanks to TRF for some very convincing opinions and for posting some fantastic pics.

I finally made my mind up and just before the recent price increase I pulled the trigger and went green with a pre-owned YG ceramic GMT. Must say I am very happy with my choice; I really like the shade of green and how it contrasts with the YG and black bezel.

I also took the advice of one TRF member who suggested that I get a SS GMT to go along with the green dial YG GMT. Not yet having a SS rolex and with the expected price increase I threw caution to the wind and got a new SS ceramic GMT from one of our own trusted sellers (Boris Kats @ sale2day). Well, the SS GMT has quickly become my daily wearer and I could not be happier with it. I really like the SS PCLs, the black dial, and the green 24 hour hand. I have quickly become an avid fan of SS.

Well done Ed you now have the best of both worlds! I know most folks here swear by the smurf, however, there is something special about sliding the 116718 on your wrist that feels heaven sent! Kudos, Enjoy, and welcome to club GMT

Nice! I was creaming for the 18 kt yg green dial but knew
i could not afford it. I was really not looking at the SS
models. But during one lunch break, I walked to the AD
and tried on the SS GMTC and decided I really wanted it
badly. It is now my daily wear watch and I love it. Yes,
still dream about the green dial yg version. Wear them
in good health.?

Thanks!

Thanks to all for your kind comments. If it were not for what I have gleaned from this forum over the past year and a half, I would have neither.

Nice pair you have there.

The SS GMT is a great looking watch; however, the green with the gold is hot! Extremely nice contrast making for a stunning contrast.
