Rolex Newbie

Hi Everyone,

I recently bought myself my first, brand new Rolex to mark my 30th Birthday and thought I should perhaps look-in on a few forums and see what folk say about them.

Thanks

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

I'm not a stranger to Swiss timepieces, although I will be the first to admit to being extraordinarily impressed with Rolex build quality compared with the Rado Sintra that I own.

Considering the Sub c was twice the price of the Rado - it's probably obvious to some more than others!

Can I ask what insurance arrangements others have made with regard to their watches? I just had to cancel and start a new policy because my provider wouldn't cover the cost of the Sub c (went from £176 premium to a whopping £367) even though the Sintra was worth >£1000

Is there an insurance section on the forum? (Away to go look!)

Welcome!

Normally folks cruise

Not sure what you do for insurance in your part of the world, but I simply get an appraisal for replacement cost and pay an additional premium on my homeowners policy per watch.

You did great job deciding to get yourself Rolex!
And if you stick around this legendary forum, believe me that very soon you`ll start to lust for another...and another...and another...

Enjoy your great timepiece and welcome to TRF!
