Hello

What does everyonr think about longines as a company
1.Quality
2. Price
3. mecahnical or Quartz for woman
4. There gold versions

I am looking to get the watch for my mother. She does not know anything about watches,but I still want to get here a automatic. Also the watch I'm looking at is Gold two tone for about 2500 msrp is it worth it. or should I go with the original plan of a Rolex ladies datejust in stainless steel and no Gold.

Will she wear the watch enough to justify an auto?
If she does not wear it enough and it isn't on a winder
odds are she will never wear it as she won't want to take
the time to have to set it all the time.

I think a SS Rolex is a great choice or if she wants a leather band
look at a JLC Reverso, both are timeless quality classy watches women
seem to love.

You can't compare a Longines to a Rolex....

Thanks for the info. She will probably wear it all the time. Do u think the Gold in the longines overcomes the quality diffrence and what class would u put Longines in. Is it like Omega or Tag or were would u put it in quality comparisons.

Longines are great watches, but it terms of brand power, in my country thy are still below tag and omega. However, their resale value are quite crappy though..
