what do you excel at?...
hello TRF friends,
in a recent book it has been discussed that it takes 10,000 hours to master your passion or craft... how many out there can attest to this and would care to share your experience? look forward to hearing.... ps i think a certain someone with 75000+ posts here on TRF qualifies

Interesting. It has taken me a lot more than 10,000 hours ( that's only 4 ish years of work weeks) to "master" my career. And I am learning more everyday. Granted if I had no drive for business growth, there would be no need to learn more.

I'm a pretty competent mathematician, engineer & technician.
I'd say my stock in trade is fluid dynamics - Bernoulli's principle and the like. |

excellent contributions....
what else does this incredibly eclectic group have to offer???? i can build nice/strong/durable bicycle wheels. I am by no means a master wheel builder but it is a source of pride when my friends ride em for years:-) .... 10,000 hours is a long time to practice anything, it is also said that a person can master 1 or maybe 2 things in a lifetime....? who else can master something here on TRF?

Having grown up without a father, I think I have become the master of 'Dadness' with my three boys. I provide a great combination of fun, discipline and mentoring of three great young human beings. Yeah for me!!!

I can balance an empty 20oz soda bottle on the end of my index finger for up to about a minute, if I can stay focused that long.
