Been almost 2 months - why I'm lovin' the dark side

It's been almost two months since I was fortunate enough to pick up my first Panerai, and it keeps getting better everyday.

The clean look of the watch, the history, the rugged and TOUGH build, the unique design, the rarity, the quality, the good vibes from other PAM owners. It's so much more than I expected, and, I'm glad to have decided to branch out from Rolex.

In theory, I knew about the strap culture and how straps can change the look and feel of the watch, but, until having lived with it for a while, I didn't "get it". I think I do now. It's fun personalizing the watch each day I wear it based on my mood, the things I do, etc.

Those that don't like Panerai won't be convinced by anything, but, for those on the fence or just starting to poke around, I thought I'd post a few pix of my 164 on my three straps (OEM gator, OEM rubber, Toshi almond). It's allll gooooooood.

(Sorry, regular TRF PAM followers have seen all these pix countless times, )

I'm with ya brother, Panerai ownership is special. I have owned many different brands, and the brands I enjoy the most are Panerai and IWC.

I have owned more Rolex watches than any other brands over the years, and I have no idea why. Rolex had a grip on me for years, buying and selling over a dozen, but once I started to branch out form them, I really started to enjoy watches more.

Great pics of a great watch, enjoy.

when I was branching out and I posed this question to many: "why PAMs?"
the general response was either its you or its not you..

after owning a few..I realized that they just seem to call out to me the loudest...the friends I have met along the way..may have different brands in their collections..but it was PAMs that drew us together...

Enjoy it Cru!

Same here...went to the dark side earlier this year and never looked back.

Never worn any other watch daily ever since! I've picked up 3 so far (112, 287, 359) and tons of straps and been rotating them constantly...the combination is endless!!

Beef up that fore arm so you don't wear yourself out.
If you like Pams, you must visit La Jolla in Southern Calif. You'll see more Panerai on wrists in an hour than any dealer could display.
