Icon14 Yet another use for a Swiss Army knife

After leaving my Bergeon tools at work, of course I got the itch to screw around with my DSSD bracelet since it just wasn't fitting the way I liked it.
My problem was the watch head was settling toward the outside or 12 o'clock of my wrist. Glide lock wasn't helping since it adjusts from the 12 o'clock side. I needed to adjust from the other side.

I've seen often that it takes a very specific driver to avoid boogering up the screws...preferably the one that comes with the Sea Dweller tool kit.

Well, I'm a skeptic so I go on a hunt to see if I have any tools at home that will work. Leatherman bits...nope...nothing small enough, micro drivers for some electronics...nope...blade too thin, Victorinox Swiss Army Knife (SAK) screw driver...PERFECT!!! It's the right diameter and the blade fits nicely.

To be more specific it's the one that screws into the cork screw on many SAK. In addition, the pin that also fits into the cork screw area works perfectly to push out the bracelet pin(s) if they don't want to come out.

I carry a SAK with me every day and although I probably won't every mess with my bracelet again since I have it just the way I want it now, it's nice to know the tools are right in my pocket if needed.

Just thought I'd pass it on JIC it helps someone out.

Have a great week, Ji

I put this in the general discussion forum also, but thought you all might find it interesting. I don't think it's been brought up before.
