The Story Continues
http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=182418
Since I had not heard from Dylan for 2-3 days, I sent him an email and told him let's set aside the bracelet link problem asked him if he ever was going to acknowledge the issue of watch running more than 15 seconds per day but his Ad claimed it was running within COSC. He did answer and offered to pay for regulation. Great I thought but before I accept the offer, I need to get the watch checked out. I found a break in my schedule yesterday and brought the watch to jewelersontime at Newport Beach where they have Rolex certified watchmaker on site. I asked Kenny Nguyen, manager and a well known member of watch community to have his watchmaker check for magnetization first. There was none. Then they open the watch and ran it on a machine and then told me it is running too fast to be fixed with a simple regulation and watch needs to be serviced. I asked them just to try regulating and they said it would just be a waste of money. I then emailed Dylan back and told him the finding and gave him the name and website of the watchmaker shop and the name of the person (Kenny) so he can verify it. Guess what? The seller, Dylan, accused me (maybe the watchmaker or Kenny as well) of extorsion!! I can tell you that really made me mad. I hadn't even asked Dylan to pay for it and just wanted to tell him what the finding was and get ready to open a coversation and discuss what the next step we could take to resolve the issue to both of our satisfaction. He's the one who made a baseless claim and I didn't get a watch as described and suddenly he's the victim now? I suggested to him yesterday to search for another watchmaker in Orange County California ASAP and I'll bring the watch there for second opinion (something I frequently offer my patients to do for major health issues) and I'm still waiting for his response. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=182418 this is turning out like Gasman94's story now.

Dilly_56 does not want to get it resolved
this is the exact copy of email I got from Dylan Nakano and our last exchange.
I'm tired of dealing with him. From: Dylan Nakano <[email protected]> To: Yenning Chuang <[email protected]> I don't know any of the watchmakers where you are. You have been hounding me with issues one after another. Trying to get money back for links first, then timing issues, then dust on the crystal, then servicing. Sounds like someone trying to extort some money back... Yes the watch is running, but not within COSC as you claimed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Dylan Nakano <[email protected]> To: Yenning Chuang <[email protected]> Sent: Fri, June 24, 2011 4:30:03 PM Subject: Re: Unresolved issues Timing a watch is relative to the method. Rather turning consistently, wearing, setting on a dresser, etc. The way I timed, you timed, and a watchmaker test are most likely different. I believe the watch was running properly when I sold it. The need for servicing is moot to my listing. I've sold the watch as is with no implied warranties. Dylan

This is my reply to him
Yenning <[email protected]>Add to Contacts
To: Dylan Nakano <[email protected]> -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You could have googled and call them and I'll do the running. Just to do diagnosis and maybe someone else can try to regulate it. I didn't bug you with the crystal. as I stated clearly that is something I expect for a older watch. Why don't you express your opinion on the thread? I never asked you for money, just asked you for one link which you refused. Someone else who has never bought a watch from me nor sold me a watch graciously gave me a link so I can wear it without using a SS link. I told you the timing issue as soon as I knew it and are you suggesting that I'm making it up now? Just so you know, I'm not rich but the amount of money involved is of no consequence for me. It's the principle that is involved. I just want a watch to run accurate enough that I don't have to hack it every other day. Surely you sound like you have no interest in resolving the issue and just refuse to acknowledge your own wrong doing and just accuse others trying to make things right.

My opinion is if I had sold you something you were unhappy with because I overlooked something, I'd be offering to take the watch back. I'd then re-list mentioning anything I accidentally overlooked. Both parties should be happy with a transaction.

The seller, in my opinion, needs to either provide you with the missing links, and cover the cost of a service, or offer you a full refund, including shipping both ways.....that's what I would do, and then either get the 2 additional links, service the watch, and then relist it, or expressly indicate those two deficiencies in a realist..... Thankfully, Greg (MOSCO) came through again, for a TRF member, when he so graciously provided you 1 extra link. Please advise as to how this all turns out. In the meantime, I, like others I imagine, will avoid Dylan Nakano, aka dilly_56...... Again, sorry for your troubles, and thank you for the heads up, regarding dilly_56.
