How tight or how loose do you wear your bracelet?

I have a 1991 DJ on jubilee. I keep going back and forth on the adjustment. I think I am in between adjustments. The one is a little snug, the other is a little loose. I am a little concerned with "stretch" of the band. Any advice?

Don't worry about stretch. This is where comfort comes from.

Wear it loose if you don't care about stretch or snug to possibly minimize stretch.

I like it fairly snug but when its cool and dry it will just sit up against my wrist bone. When the arm is a bit warm and/or not totally dry it will sit about an inch above the wrist bone.

You havent seen stretch yet my friend. There was a pic on the net floating about, where you can see the band almost fold around the case facing down.

A tad loose to accommodate my wrist swelling up from the heat.

Depends on the watch. My 14060 I wear fairly loose but my 16600 I wear pretty tight because of the extra weight.

I like to wear it so damn tight until I cannot flex my wrist, this way I can always know my watch is there

Snug but not to tight. I can slide my pinky between the bracelet and my wrist.

This is one of the few things when I must admit that I wish I had a modern piece over the vintage....one of the newer glidelock clasps would be a nice addition to a 91350 or a 92350 :)

Loose enough so that I can slip a finger between bracelet and my skin.

I wear watches an inch above the wrist bone, as this minimizes the stress on the links from wrist bending. I also tend to wear them snug, with barely room to slip a little finger under the clasp (but not normally leave red marks). With the exception of my GMT-IIC (best band of them all), I move the bracelet springbar out a notch in the warmer weather, and tighten in the winter.

I used to wear it tighter so as to minimize stretch but then realized, what am I saving the bracelet for, my heirs?

I wear my oyster bracelets so that I can out a pencil between my arm and the bracelet. I wear my watch low on the wrist, below the wristbone and heterotopic osification due to injuries.
