Congrats Danny! That's the one my hubby is after. Enjoy it in good health. You can't go wrong with a Submariner, that's for sure

When stuck with my beloved Tag Link 200 I initially worshipped the Submariner, but the font og the numbers faded on me - very 70s, and that bar code went old too in my mind. The GMT however remains way more up to date in my opinion.
I don't want it to be like that though - who wouldn't like a submariner? Hmmmprf Daytona 18K has become my little secret dream, retails at exactly same level as Rolls Royce Silver Ghost '76 though :-( Why did I get this hobby? Sincerely Sune |

That's great, the non date Sub is THE sport watch IMHO. I think once all the 5513's go beyond the budget of us regular folks the 14060 will be the NEXT watch.

Since catching the Rolex bug last year I've tried on just about every one of the current sports line (both new and old designs,SS and TT) and you just cannot beat the 14060M. If you gave me free choice all over again, I would still pick it every time.A classic mans watch

The 14060M is regarded by many as the most rugged of all the Rolex watches out there. 300m water resistance and very simple movement, no extra complications like a date feature. Also, I like how the size is slightly smaller in diameter and width wise than a Submariner w/date.

That's my next watch, indeed. I want it to compliment my SS TOG. Does anyone know the current list price USD of the 14060M?

I am getting more and more tempted to buy a 14060M
I keep reading posts where owners of it write that they will keep it for the rest of their lifes. That must be the one heck of a watch.

By the way can anyone tell me why a dive watch needs a date feature ? I do not dive, so have no knowledge of the hobby........Do divers go down for a week at a time, then suddenly need to come up on wednesday the 24th or whatever |

It's a proven fact that they are much more efficient with a date in the diving environment- DESK DIVING, that is.
