Qestion about large Moon Phase watch
I hope someone with more Knoledge on the Forum can help me out with this paticular Pocket watch. I have a large moon Phase Pocket watch that I aquired, and I am having trouble finding out any information on this sort of watch. From the limited info I can find, it is from the early 1900's, made of Nickel, and the Face is in Spanish, and it is 79.00mm in Width. There is no Brand on the face, or on the movement. There are the numbers 578858 on the back.
I actually have annother MoonPhase that is a J.H. hasler & Fils Swiss watch that is smaller. It looks almost the same on the face as in the inside as the Large one, as is in one of my photos. That watch is a Three Jewel Movement. I found some of these online for $500-$950. I guess my question is is the large watch unusual or rare? Or is it a common watch that would price out for a similar price as the smaller one. I thought the calender would make it expensive, but the JH Hasler watch isnt going for as much as I thought it would either. One other person i contacted called it a Clock Watch. Any thought would be appriciated. If anyone has any history or anything like that on it Id really appriciate it. I used some books I have, and looked online, and there was next to nothing on Moonphase, and no comparables I could find on Clock Watches. Any resources would be appriciated Thank you |
