stopped SD
ive been busy lately and my SD has been negelected in a drawer so its stopped. is it OK to just set time and start wearing it or does it need to be wound manually

I would always take a stopped Rolex and give it about 40 turns manually to wind it up, then adjust the time and wear.

Bo's link should give you all the answers that you need. It basically boils down to 40 manual turns and ensure that you do not adjust the date between 9pm-2am else the date gears can get jammed.

Yes agree just give it a manual wind a manual wind now and then keeps the oil around the winding stem mechanism.
