Nomos Ludwig as Latest Addition to Collection

Currently have a Rolex Explorer I and an Omega SMP. Recently, while surfing the net, I came across the Nomos website and was struck by the beautiful, clean designs of their watches, not to mention the accolades given to their in-house movements. On a recent trip to NYC, I stopped in Wempe and checked out the Ludwig and the Tangomat.

I find that I especially like the Ludwig because I think the Roman numerals give it a very classic and elegant look. Thinking that it would be the perfect addition to my existing Rolex and Omega. The Explorer and the SMP are certainly suitable for casual/sport wear, and the Explorer can easily do double duty as a dress watch (the Omega, as well, in a pinch), but the Ludwig seems especially suitable for dress.

As an added bonus, I understand that Nomos is currently considered an excellent value in quality mechanical watches. What do you think ? Any suggestions as regards other options ? If I go the Nomos route, I'll probably live with the three watches for quite some time. At some point I may be inclined to take the plunge for a Rolex Sub, but I can't see that happening for a while. (Maybe for my 50th birthday, which is still several years away -- thankfully. )

As always, thanks for any input anyone would care to provide.

I have been attracted to the Nomos brand for some time now. As you say the dials are clean, and the look is quite suitable for dress. I've not heard anything negative about their in-house movements. Some find them small, but since the dial is most of the watch they tend to wear bigger than their dimensions would indicate.

I agree they are a good value as well - don't think you can go wrong there.
