Rivet Bracelet Alternative

Hello,

I recently acquired a circa '65 Rolex Date and its currently equipped with the original 19mm oyster rivet bracelet. I do not want to go through the hassle of drilling the rivets to remove the links to properly fit my wrist. What are some good quality aftermarket oyster bracelets (sub $100) and websites you've seen selling them? I know its an injustice to fit a cheaper bracelet on my vintage watch but I just want to wear the damn thing and not spend a lot!

Michael Young / Classicwatchparts can fix your bracelet ...

There's a fella in Hong Kong who can make your bracelet like new (including the adjustments you need).

It'll cost you about $100. See this link ...

The downside is that he takes his time and is not good on the communication side of things but he's regarded highly by the vintage Rolex community Paul

Thanks Paul for the link, but too troublesome for a fix. I just want to slap on a new band and be done with it.

Usually you remove the center links to shorten the bracelet on the rivet and folded link bracelets. It's an art form to remove the links so they don't bend, but a competent watchmaker should be able to do this procedure.
