Family Picture!

Hey guys,

All the "kids" are back in the house! Sold and acquired some along the way and some are back from the service center so I'm definitely glad they're all complete again.

Here are some pics:

Thanks for looking!

Thanks! Actually, details are in my signature.

The Omega and DJ used to be my dads. He gave me the dj and I recently found the omega in his drawer, so I decided to have it restored. The Breguet was kind of a grad gift for college, I originally wanted a sub date but my mom and her watchguy dissuaded me - that was 1999 and its only now that I was able to get a submariner. The one you see there is a 98 model version which was plenty banged-up when I got it and was itself recently restored by the sc. Its like new now.

The others are more of impulse purchases, the Ball especially. I just found it so cool that a watch had a temp gauge plus I wanted an all black watch. The Daniel JeanRichard was an online purchase, my first. After trying out a double retrograde versions, I dug the shape and found a hell of a deal on a triple date on amazon. The Anonimo was a real hunt because I'd been reading up on their interesting story and models for a while now but since there are very few dealers, I was only able to get one in Hongkong and its only now that theyre showing up in my country.

The Superocean was the watch I got a year after I got the Breguet. The Breguet is titanium, light but scratches easilly, so I always felt it was delicate and so I decided on the Breitling which looked and felt tough. It was my main watch for a long time, the Breguet only getting out for special occassions or when I travel.

I'm not sure if those were the details you were after but thats basically how I got these watches. Sorry if its a bit TMI haha!

Thanks TheJoker and brkanand!

Jefstathiou, I dig the omega a lot too. Its different and looks sort of raw and unfinished which is cool.

That`s really great collection!
Blue Sub is always a winner, but that Breitling Superocean on bracelet is also beauty!

Thanks vukotab! I've always wanted a Submariner ever since the late 90's and it's only now that I was able to get a good deal on this one. Not much of a gold fan but this one's growing on me. The blue makes it look more "relaxed?" haha!

With regards to the Breitling, it was my main watch for a while but recently, I've been on the fence whether to sell it or not. My wife wants me to keep it tho, favoring it over all my other diver's watches, in fact.

Thanks watchdaddy1! I agree with you, in my collection, the Anonimo is very solid looking. I just got the bracelet a month ago and it totally changed the look of the watch.

Thanks! Unfortunately, it gets the least wrist time, especially since I restored his old Omega.

Really nice collection, my favorite is by far the blue-face silver/gold bezel in the bottom-right corner. Looks like one of their Aqua models.

That Breguet looks sweet... looks like a carbon fiber dial?

Submariner? Thanks! I just got that back from the service center. Rolex did a darn good job with the restoration. You should've seen it prior, looked like it was stored in a can of pebbles or something haha!

Thanks! Yeah, that's a carbon fiber dial. It really looks good with the titanium and it adds depth to the dial - it almost looks like the numbers are floating in some angles.
