I just tried on the NEW Daytona in San Francisco!

My wife and i stopped by the Rolex boutique at the Westfield Shopping mall in San Francisco this evening. While chatting with one of the salesmen, he says "Hey, would you like to see the new Daytona?"

WHAT?!?!?! I couldn't believe they had one in the store already. According to him it was just released by Rolex yesterday and they overnighted one to the store, as he claims they are one of the top dealers on the west coast. He said that only 2 dealers on the west coast have received one as of today and he was going to let me take a look!

I was not sure if I would be too excited over the new rose gold with the ceramic bezel. Let me tell you, it is STUNNING in person. Pictures do not do this watch justice.

Here are a few shots, along with a his and hers (my wife is trying on a chocolate 31mm with the 24 diamond bezel)

Looks nice and unique but quite busy looking. It reminds me of the Speedy Pro with its bezel.

Looks very nice on you. I wouldn't buy it for that price though. Like what the other poster said, I'd rather get the SS on white or black.

Keeps me waiting for the SS to come out with ceramic...even though I know it will be a few years. Thanks for the wrist shots--nice!

No way you could sneak a glance at that and tell what time it is. I prefer more contrast between the dial and hands.

I checked both versions out in Orlando last week..

Very nice but I don't think I will ever be much of a strap guy. The chocolate dial was my definate favorite of the two.

I far prefer the pics I've seen of the Ivory dial. Anyone tried one of those on with pics to share?

That black ceramic bezel will be awesome with a white or cream dial on the stainless steel model..............unfortunately, we won't be seeing that for a few years Oh well, something to look forward to!!!!!!

Icon14 The chocolate pair

I know the photo came out bad, but the ladies 31m chocolate faced on rose gold was a perfect match for the new Daytona mens watch. Made me drool. I don't even love the chocolate as compared to more classic faces, but the pair was awesome!

Cheers!
