I'm going old school

I'm going back to what started it all for me. Nothing says Rolex like the Submariner (not Sub Date) and it's what started my love for the brand. Love the new ceramic stuff, bezels, bracelets, etc. but I have never fallen out of love with the 14060M I first purchased. I just want a simple, classic, rugged, do just about anything watch and the Submariner does it with lug holes and all. So without further ado, I present to you my BNIB random serial Submariner purchased from our very own DavidSW. Potentially, one of the last of its kind. And to all the Curmudgeons out there, I'M BACK!

Looking good Dan! I totally called it last week when you asked about re-buying certain watches multiple times. Does this mean that you got rid of the GMTIIC? I thought you had finally found everything you were looking for.

BTW, let me know next month when you sell that 14060M for the Sub C...I may be interested in buying it off ya!

I have been in denial for a long time my friend. Don't get me wrong I have loved ALL the watches I have had for various reasons but the Sub has always taunted me.

Your sins are forgiven, welcome back!

That looks great on you. I'm obviously biased but, damn, that watch is cool!

Great watch! Enjoy it for a month or two until you get the Sub-C silly case fever again

While you're on this wild and crazy watch tour, I do urge you to sample the SD 16600. If you think the Sub is great, the SD is just a nudge more special to me...just like a 14060 with SEL, a date and tad more robustness.

No more mad watch tour for me. In fact, I make the same guarantee that you made regarding your Sea Dweller. How about them apples!

Ok, I shall bump this thread on August 11, 2012 and see if you're still rocking this same 14060M and no other "tours" of watch duty in between.

I'm still holding tight to my "test" of keeping the 16600 for a year, going on about 2 months or so, I think.
