Changing a RAD strap
After what was a loooong time, I finally managed to change the strap on my 183 to an OEM gator. Mik's handy tips were very helpful, but he must be handier than I am.... anyway, just a few scratches by the time I finished...

It takes practice for sure, but using enough force is critical!

The first time I change the strap on my 210 I was so worried scratching it that I scratch it the very first contact I made to the watch!!!! After that. Never ever scratch it again.
The secret is the more you worried the more scratch you'll end up with. So just relax, it's not brain surgery. Hope this help.

Thanks - I was worried about scratching too -so there you go.
The main problem was finding a screwdriver that fit the slots well enough to loosen the screws. That factory torque is pretty high. Easier next time no doubt. |
